Commitment to the Environment

Totum is in the business of supporting progression and growth in the legal sector by championing the most dynamic legal management talent as a driver to lasting change and competitive advantage. We believe that our commitment to progress  should extend beyond the boundaries of our industry to leave a wider mark. Because of this, we have invested in the tending and growth of trees in Africa and India and we are proud to say we have enabled the growth of more than 12,000 trees, equivalent to nearly 24 acres or 14 Wembley Stadia.

The International Small Group & Tree Planting Programme (TIST) has done significant work in helping small groups of subsistence farmers in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and India to reverse the devastating effect of deforestation, drought and famine for the last ten years. TIST addresses education, health (including HIV/AIDS) and nutrition needs of its members through a communications and administrative structure. Since 2002, the small groups organised and funded by TIST have planted over 500,000 trees in India and 700,000 in Tanzania.

"After a long and fruitless executive search, Gary and Debbie took on what had been described as a near-impossible task and within a few weeks had found the right candidate for the role. They are responsive, creative and, ultimately most importantly, know their market."
