Psychometric testing

Psychometric testing helps to present a picture of how a person will behave in particular circumstances, how adaptive they are to situations and what natural aptitudes and skill-sets they have. For some employers, they are an essential aid during the selection process. In addition, psychometric tests can also be used as a development tool for both teams and individuals already working within a law firm.


At Totum we use a highly regarded and validated psychometric measure called the Rapid Personality Questionnaire (RPQ), published by Kenexa.

The RPQ series is one of the most widely used five factor psychometric models in recruitment and development assessment and boasts an impressive list of professional services clients who already use it in-house.
The RPQ can be completed and assessed within fifteen minutes. It contrasts a person’s responses against a pre-determined personality profile. It immediately highlights areas that need to be probed further, and those that may be causes for concern.
