Totum Partners Ltd has been retained by a leading US law firm to recruit a Business Development Manager (BDM) to work alongside Industry Leaders and Client Relationship Partners for the firm’s Energy industry group to provide high quality, proactive business development support to ultimately construct and implement an industry strategy.  This globally focused role can be based in either London or New York.  We are focusing on the London search.

We are seeking candidates who have significant energy experience, either from within an investment banking or Big 4 Accountancy environment, or from within the energy industry itself.  Once in place, the BDM will have responsibility for hiring and managing a dedicated junior BD resource.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Global industry oversight and strategic planning
  • Client relationship management
  • Opportunity management and pitches
  • Close collaboration with other business services professionals on strategic project.

This role is key for the firm’s new industry strategy that is underway.  It is high-profile, fast-paced and is best suited for a proactive, forward thinking, intellectually curious professional who has a natural passion for the energy industry.

Degree-educated and significant frontline work experience in industry specific business development and marketing roles is essential.  Must have client relationship management experience in a global context.  Experience with client feedback reviews and pitching is preferred.
