The Practice Manager will provide support and guidance to the Practice Heads of designated practice groups and Sector Heads in all aspects of operational management of the practice group including delivery of the budget and business plan for the practice group as well as the local delivery of aspects of the Firm’s strategy.

Working in partnership with the Firm’s Business Services functions, the Practice Manager is responsible for the communication, management and execution of business as usual activities in their designated practice groups ensuring delivery on time, within budget and in line with the Firm’s cultural principles.  The Practice Manager will also play a leading role in designing and embedding cultural and structural change initiatives in the designated practice groups.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience of multi-disciplinary operational management within a professional services environment – knowledge of the legal sector would be an advantage.

A strong academic background coupled with exceptional commercial acumen and a sophisticated understanding/experience of finance and fiscal management as well as experience of delivering against commercial KPIs.  Previous experience of leading professional managers is essential and you must be a strong influencer of people with tenacity, credibility and excellent communication skills.

This role requires regular travel to London (2 days a week) as well as travel to other UK locations.
