Totum Partners are delighted to be working with a top 20 UK legal firm which has experienced significant headcount and revenue growth over the past few years. An opportunity has arisen to support the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis in providing commercial, relevant and practical advice to the Partnership and financial analysis to support the Firm's decision making process. You will also be required to support the firm's budgeting and reforecasting process for revenue and direct costs.

The main duties of the Senior Business Analyst will include supporting the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to provide financial analysis on monthly financial performance for revenue and direct costs including in depth analysis of any significant variances. You will also be required to produce and interpret financial information across the firm and work closely with the rest of the Business Analyst team to ensure all internal and external client reporting deadlines are met. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the rest of the Business Analyst team to ensure all internal and external client reporting deadlines are met whilst also supporting the central consolidation of the annual budgeting and reforecast process, including the development, testing and maintenance of the budgeting software tools. You will be involved with cross departmental process improvement projects including the rationalisation of management reporting processes, commercial reviews and will be required to support month end management accounts commentaries.

Applicants must be qualified accountants with a minimum 3 years post qualified experience ideally within the legal or professional sector. You must be organised and detail orientated individual with a high level of computer literacy and MS Excel modelling capability is essential. The role requires an analytical and strategic approach and a high degree of commercial acumen with a strategic outlook and you must have prior business partnering experience.
