CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) is one of the best known conflict management and resolution charities in the world.  Their work is dedicated to improving the way organisations prevent, manage and resolve conflict deadlock and they have led in this field for over 25 years.  They focus on quick and cost-effective solutions for clients to resolve disputes and improve communications. They also provide guidance, training and innovation to the business and legal world through ground-breaking work on technical and sector initiatives.

The business is looking for a Head of Dispute Resolution to join its team. This is a really interesting newly created role which will encompass sales/business development, client management and targeting/pitching, commercial operations and team management and development. 

Because of the nature of the role, CEDR is fairly open on the background that this individual could come from.  Ideally someone who has been involved in litigation and dispute resolution from a legal standpoint would be beneficial, but someone who can demonstrate a real interest and a good understanding of ADR would also be of interest.  Previous business development/client management and pitching experience would be beneficial, as would team management/commercial experience. What will be critical here is someone who is collegial, team oriented and has a great commercial awareness.

CEDR is a very flexible business and they are open to discussion around part time/agile working/compressed hours.
