This global US law firm are looking to hire a Legal Project Manager to join a newly created legal project management team and implement significant change on the delivery and management of legal matters by focusing on client service and process innovation.

Accountable to the lead partner the successful candidate will use legal project management technology and knowledge management tools to deliver a streamlined service to the firms legal teams and most significant clients and matters.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Provide guidance on best practice, tools, techniques, roles and responsibilities within a matter
  • Ongoing management of the matter lifecycle including; identifying issues as they arise, and offering options for resolution and correction on matters that are diverging from work plans and budgets
  • Developing  ongoing matter work plans, tracking timelines , milestones and dependencies
  • Continuously identify improvements to the LPM process and support the change management and implementation of these processes
  • Support the continuous development of Legal Project Management in the firm

Experience of Legal Project Management is highly desirable, but in the absence of this the candidate must have a solid background in project management from a professional services environment.  In addition you will have significant experience of managing teams and supporting complex engagements in a project management capacity. Experience of change management and implementation is also required.
