The Learning & Development Manager is a newly created, stand-alone role as a result of the firm investing heavily in Learning & Development.  The L&D Manager will determine the direction of L&D in the firm working closely with the HR Director to set the agenda.

Objectives of the Learning and Development Manager role:

  1. To improve the engagement, motivation and fulfilment of partners and staff by supporting them to achieve their potential;
  2. To motivate associates and partners to take collective responsibility for their personal development and foster a coaching culture;
  3. To ensure that a structured, modular learning and development programme is delivered across the firm.
  4. To increase overall firm performance by ensuring associates and partners have the right mix of skills to drive the firm forward.

Person specification:

Professional services experience essential, ideally within the legal environment.  The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent by experience.  They will be confident in the delivery of internal training where required with a good understanding of all aspects of L&D scoping and delivery and ideally possess a relevant HR or L&D qualification.
