This is a newly created role, and an exciting new type of position for the Asia market. 
Following success of a similar role in the UK, this firm is seeking a Senior BD Manager to have a client and market face role to gather intel on specific opportunities and to drive how the firm positions itself internally for opportunities to drive sustainable revenue.  
Key responsibilities will include:
  • asset tracking and origination - meeting with external contacts to develop a robust pipeline of transactional opportunities; gathering intelligence and maintaining information related to the assets available on the market.
  • developing a program for post transaction clients to cross-sell and introduce other practice areas.
  • post mandate reviews to get feedback on performance and understand how to develop additional revenue streams.
  • implementing and evolving their marketing and business development strategy for high profile private equity and corporate clients and for the region as a whole.
  • working with the partners to develop processes and a program to develop Asia based transactional clients to ensure they are ‘sticky’ clients of the firm.
  • understanding the business priorities for global clients in Asia and helping to drive conversations between partners in Asia and global relationship partners to ensure Asia is properly positioned.
  • managing a Business Development Executive who reports directly into this role.
To be successful, you will be an experienced and natural networker internally and externally; have strong commercial acumen; and be confident to discuss pipeline with senior stakeholders, lead partners and clients.  Your background will include time in professional services (accounting, consulting, law) and experience and knowledge of the Corporate, M&A, PE and Finance markets will be important.  Whilst relationships on the ground in Asia would add value, we are happy to look at those relocating in to the region and bringing transferable relationship skills.
