We are delighted to welcome Chris Lynch, formerly Global HR Director at Linklaters, as our first Non-Executive Director. Her outstanding experience in some of the UK’s leading professional service firms will be invaluable as we seek to implement our ambitious growth plans over the next financial year.

The appointment follows a record trading period in the second quarter of Totum’s financial year to September 2021 which looks set to continue into 2022.

Chris brings a breadth of experience from top tier firms such as Magic Circle law firm, Linklaters, where she was Global HR Director, and international law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills. Her insight into the running of these blue-chip sector firms will help to ensure that Totum remains at the forefront of professional services best practice.

Chris’s experience in the legal sector, a key area for Totum, will also help the firm expand its services in and build stronger relationships with top legal firms.

As an expert in diversity and inclusion (D&I) Chris's experience will be invaluable in ensuring Totum builds on its current commitment to D&I, while being seen as a leader in inclusive recruitment practices. Totum is a signatory of the ‘Race Fairness Commitment’ and has an upcoming spotlight report on navigating the world of work as a black professional.

Totum has an ambitious three-year development strategy, which Chris played a significant role in shaping, to deliver strong growth. Totum aims to enhance its core functions of HR, Finance, Technology, Marketing and BD, whilst continuing to service emerging areas around innovation, transformation and change. The firm is planning to expand by 50% in the next financial year as it seeks to capitalise on the recruitment boom in the professional services sector.

Tim Skipper, Founding Director at Totum Partners, said: “We are delighted to welcome Chris to the team. Her outstanding experience in some of the UK’s leading professional service firms will be invaluable as we seek to implement our ambitious growth plans over the next financial year. Her expertise in diversity and inclusion will also build on the commitment Totum has made to D&I and help ensure the firm is seen as a leader in these areas, which are so important in today’s recruitment arena.”

Chris Lynch, NED at Totum Partners, said: “I am delighted to be joining Totum as its first NED. It’s a very exciting time for the firm given its ambitious growth plans and the recent strategy review, which will help position the firm to capitalise on the recruitment boom in the UK and for longer-term expansions and success. Totum is a consultancy that very much reflects my passion for greater diversity and inclusion in the professional services sector and more generally in the UK workforce and I look forward to helping the firm develop further initiatives to promote these principles more widely.”
